Copper Kings Come up Short of Playoffs Monday, August 30th, 1982 At times during the season, it seemed like the Butte Copper Kings might put together a promising campaign, but it was not to be. Today, the Butte Copper Kings are left waiting for next year after being mathematically eliminated from playoff contention. This is the 3rd time in a row that the Copper Kings have missed the playoffs.Their last payoff appearance was in 1979.Butte has won the Round 2 2 times in their history. |
