Snider's Hit Streak Reaches 25 Games Monday, July 12th, 1982 Van Snider of the Galveston Sand Crabs has now hit safely in 25 straight games. He socked 1 hit in today's 6-2 triumph over Sarasota at Allyn Field. "25 games is a big chunk of the year, isn't it?" Snider said to reporters. "It's hard to wrap your head around." Van Snider doubled in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th and walked in the 7th. This season Snider is hitting .355 with 39 hits, 10 home runs, 28 RBIs, scored 22 runs and played in 26 games. |
