Season May Be Over for Indians Yenser
Tuesday, August 10th, 1982
Doctors in Port Lavaca said Steven Yenser might not play anymore this year. The Indians reliever suffered a torn flexor tendon in his elbow during a game against the Dunedin Rangers and will be out for at least 6 months. Club officials told BNN they do not expect him to return to the team this season.
Taking a look at his season, Yenser has made 8 relief appearances, recorded no saves and compiled a 6-5 won-lost mark and a 3.19 ERA. In pitching 127 innings, he has totaled 88 strikeouts and 45 walks.
