Postseason Bid Ends for Cabo San Lucas
Tuesday, January 12th, 1982
It's now time for the Cabo San Lucas Worms to start turning their attention to what can be done to help improve the club for next season. The team was formally eliminated from playoff contention today for the 1981 season.
"We knew a title was a long shot at this point, but mentally there's a big difference between a tiny chance and no chance at all," said Worms reliever Charles Davis.
This is the club's 5th playoff miss in a row. They last appeared in the postseason in 1976. In the last 10 seasons, the Worms have missed the playoffs 9 times. In total, the Worms have missed the playoffs 10 times in their 11-year history.
