SOB Presents Player of the Week Trophy Monday, November 30th, 1981 It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the South of the Border, but last week Tony Phillips of the Durango Desert Dogs reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week. Phillips rocked opposing pitching for a .389 average (7-for-18), 3 home runs and 9 RBIs to come away with the award. |
