Super Swinger -- Carter Slams 5 Hits Friday, December 4th, 1981 Joe Carter of the Scallywags was unstoppable in today's 14-3 victory over the Managua Lagoon Monsters at Monsters Ball Yard. He battered them for 5 hits in 6 at-bats. "Boy, I was on the mark today," said the Colon right fielder after the game. "I could see the ball real well. It's a great feeling to do this. And besides, 5-for-6 won't hurt your batting average like 0-for-5 will." Joe Carter hit a two-run double in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, flied out in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 9th.
