Carnivals Rasmussen Fires No-Hitter Monday, December 21st, 1981 Dennis Rasmussen of the Fort de France Carnivals was the King of the Hill today at Ballpark of San Jose. The Fort de France starter dominated the San Jose Volcanoes, giving up zero hits in his 10-0 victory. "The toughest part was the last couple of innings," Rasmussen recounted after the game. "You know you have a no-hitter going, and so does everybody in the ballpark. That was the hard part, keeping focused and concentrating while your heart is pounding." Rasmussen recorded 6 strikeouts and 3 walks in the game. In 10 starts this season Rasmussen has rung up a 5-3 record and a 3.65 ERA. View Boxscore |
