Monterrey Devastated by Playoff Elimination Monday, January 18th, 1982 The Monterrey Lasers were mathematically eliminated from postseason contention today. Lenny Dykstra of the Lasers said it's a tough way to finish out the season. "To be eliminated from playoff contention in the last few games, it's not easy," he said. The Lasers have missed the playoffs 11 times in their 11 years as a South of the Border franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 12th in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 1968. |
