San Jose Devastated by Playoff Elimination Tuesday, January 19th, 1982 At times during the season, it seemed like the San Jose Volcanoes might put together a promising campaign, but it was not to be. Today, the San Jose Volcanoes are left waiting for next year after being mathematically eliminated from playoff contention. The Volcanoes have missed the playoffs 11 times in their 11 years as a South of the Border franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 12th in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 1968. |
