No Late-Season Magic Coming: Castries Out of Playoffs Tuesday, January 19th, 1982 The playoff picture is continuing to come into focus in South of the Border and this year, the postseason won't include the Castries Palmeras. The team today was mathematically eliminated from qualifying for the postseason. Before this season, the Palmeras last missed the playoffs in 1977. In the 11 years they have been a South of the Border franchise, they have missed the playoffs 8 times. In the last 10 years, they have missed the playoffs 7 times. Castries has won the Championship Series 2 times in their history. |
