Desert Dogs Win Tight Mexcian Division Race Wednesday, January 20th, 1982 The Durango Desert Dogs kicked off what they hope is the first of many celebrations tonight, after having clinched the Mexcian Division. Championship success is uncharted waters for the Desert Dogs, as the club has yet to win a Championship Series. "We know what it takes, we just have to put ourselves in that position to win it," said third baseman Tony Phillips. The club's record currently sits at 35-25 and the division win is the 2nd in team history. Team owner The owner of the Durango Desert Dogs said it was "an extremely proud day to be at the head of the Desert Dogs." |
