Mazatlan Devastated by Playoff Elimination Wednesday, January 20th, 1982 Mazatlan Playas manager said his club came "agonizingly close" to making the playoffs. But close won't be good enough this year, as the Playas have now been officially ousted from contention. Mazatlan last appeared in the postseason in 1979. This is their 2nd consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 8 times in their 11-year history. In the last 10 seasons, the Playas have missed the playoffs 7 times. |
