Puerto Barrios's Relief Ace Top Pitcher in December

Any time a rookie makes a splash on the scene, it's got to be great for his career potential. Just ask Mark Parker, who put together a stellar month out of the pen. The Puerto Barrios Generals reliever, 23, kept the opposition off balance all month as he held them to a .220 average and walked away with the South of the Border Pitcher of the Month award for December.
Parker posted a 7-4 mark and a 3.09 ERA in no relief appearances. In 87.1 innings, he had no saves, 59 strikeouts, and 32 walks.
Parker has taken the mound for no relief appearances this season, nailing down no saves while notching a 10-7 record with a 3.67 ERA. The Puerto Barrios reliever has limited opposing batters to a .245 batting average.
