Ray Punishes SOB Pitchers This Week Monday, January 4th, 1982 It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the South of the Border, but last week Johnny Ray of the Colon Scallywags reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week. Ray rocked opposing pitching for a .600 average (9-for-15), no home runs and 8 RBIs to come away with the award. So far this year Ray is batting .333 with 2 home runs. |
