Diaz Takes Charge, Blanks Durango Monday, January 19th, 1981 Goose eggs were the order of the day for the Durango Desert Dogs as starter Carlos Diaz shut out the Durango Desert Dogs 6-0 at Ballpark of Benson. The Havana pitcher struck out 12 and walked 3 while allowing 4 hits. "Diaz was good but he wasn't flawless," Durango manager said later. "We had a few opportunities to make something happen and we didn't do it. Not to take anything away from Havana, but this is on us."
