Guerrero January's Best Bat Choice Sunday, February 1st, 1981 Panama City Capitales fans believe they've got a talented young star in Pedro Guerrero. He did nothing to dissuade that notion in January, as he hit .408 with 6 home runs, 25 RBIs and 16 runs scored. The end result was the first baseman being named the South of the Border Batter of the Month. This year Guerrero has socked 67 hits in 209 at-bats for a .321 average with 7 home runs. He is getting on base at a .376 pace and his totals also include 57 RBIs and 34 runs scored. |
