McDevitt Sizzles with 20-Game Batting Streak Tuesday, April 28th, 1970 Pat McDevitt, second baseman for the Brandon HS Owls, ran his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20 games with 3 hits in his club's 8-4 victory today over the Miramar HS Rebels at Ballpark of Atlanta HS today. "I don't really know why it's even happening," he said with a grin after the game. "So asking me how long I can keep it up is kind of irrelevant. It'll end when it ends." Pat McDevitt singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, grounded out in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and flied out in the 7th. McDevitt is currently hitting at a .300 pace with no home runs and 19 RBIs. |
