McGann Has 25-Game Hitting Streak Wednesday, April 29th, 1970 Nobody has been able to shut down Sunrise HS Nitros third baseman Jon McGann in recent days. The Wilmington HS Thoroughbreds fared no better than the rest. Today at St. Paul HS Fields, McGann picked up 2 hits in 5 at-bats en route to a 11-8 Nitros victory. It stretched his hitting string to 25 consecutive games. Jon McGann struck out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, grounded out in the 4th, walked in a run in the 5th, flied out in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 8th. Currently McGann is batting .425 with no home runs, 25 RBIs and 22 runs scored. |
