Holden's 20-Game Hit Streak Ends
Saturday, May 2nd, 1970
The Concord HS Foxhounds lost to the Charleston HS Jokers 8-4 today at Progressive Field, but perhaps the bigger news was the end of Nate Holden's 20-game hitting streak. The center fielder went 0-for-4 on the day.

"We felt if we could slow down Holden, we would win the game," Jokers manager explained. "They really seemed to feed off his streak, so we tried to put more emphasis on shutting him down."

In this current campaign Holden is hitting at a .377 clip with 4 home runs and 24 RBIs.
