McGann Put in Cooler, Hitless Against High Point HS Sunday, May 3rd, 1970 The 28-game hitting streak of Jon McGann has come to an end. The Sunrise HS Nitros third baseman went 0-for-5 today in his team's 23-7 loss to the High Point HS Pointers at Bloodhounds Ballpark. "It's not just Jon who came up short today," Nitros manager said in his postgame press conference. "This was a team loss." So far this season McGann has no home runs and a .410 batting average. |
