Season Over for Steve Drake in Carol City HS
Tuesday, May 5th, 1970
When Steve Drake was hurt against the Miami Beach HS Oilmen, the Carol City HS Rascals were hopeful that the injury was not serious. However, it proved to be more severe than first thought. The 16-year-old starting pitcher suffered a bone spur in his elbow throwing a pitch in yesterday's game. Team doctors told BNN today that Drake would miss 4 months of the season.

Drake has made 7 starts this season, posting 1 win and 1 loss. Opposing clubs are batting .330 against him and he has 6 strikeouts in 26 innings with a 5.19 ERA.
