Hit Streak Now at 25 for McClure

The Clearwater HS Surge stopped the Wilmington HS Thoroughbreds today 13-3 and Robby McClure collected a base hit yet again. The Clearwater HS catcher finished with 4 hits to run his consecutive-game hitting streak to 25.

"I want to get a hit every time up," a visibly excited McClure told reporters after the contest. "I want to get a hit every game I play. Right now, I feel like I could take this streak to 100 games."
Robby McClure hit an RBI single in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, flied out in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 8th and grounded out in the 9th.

Thus far this season McClure is hitting .416 with 1 home run, 27 RBIs and 23 runs scored. He has 47 hits in 113 at-bats and has played in 26 games.
