Rollers Halt Bigas's Hit Streak
Friday, May 8th, 1970
Chris Bigas, left fielder for the Miramar HS Rebels, gave it a good try, but his time chasing history came to an end when he went hitless in 4 tries against the Sandy Springs HS Rollers today. Not only did the Rollers break his 20-game hitting streak, they also beat Miramar HS by the score of 6-1.

"Now that the streak has ended, I can admit I'll breathe a bit easier the next time I step up to bat," Bigas said, speaking with the media after the game. "It was tough because I put a little pressure on myself. Now that it's over, I will definitely be a little bit looser at the plate."

So far in 1970 Bigas is batting .373 with 4 home runs, 37 RBIs and 31 runs scored. He has 56 hits in 150 at-bats and a .410 OBP.
