Castillo Extends Hit Streak to 20 Games Saturday, May 9th, 1970 The hitting streak for Lauderhill HS center fielder Rizhean Castillo now stands at 20 games, but the Steelhounds dropped today's contest 11-2 to the Carol City HS Rascals. Castillo went 2-for-4 in the game. "Things went well for me personally today," he said later. "I got 2 hits and the streak keeps going. But we didn't win the game." Rizhean Castillo flied out in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, singled in the 6th and hit a two-run home run off Jeff Brown in the 8th. Hitting .338 to date, Castillo has 5 home runs and 38 RBIs. He has played in 34 games. |
