Jeff Fuentes Hurt, Out for Year Sunday, May 10th, 1970 Doctors in Deltona HS said Jeff Fuentes might not play anymore this year. The Yard Dawgs reliever suffered a torn rotator cuff during a game against the Miramar HS Rebels and will be out for at least 4-5 months. Club officials told BNN they do not expect him to return to the team this season. This season Fuentes has chalked up a 14.07 ERA while ringing up 1 save with 1 win and 5 losses. He has made 17 relief appearances, pitching 23.2 innings, giving up 43 hits, and holding opponents to a .406 batting average. Fuentes has also recorded 13 strikeouts and allowed 35 walks. |
