Johnson Batters Kenner HS for 5 Hits
Wednesday, April 1st, 1970
Blue Huskies right fielder Amir Johnson had his way with Kenner HS pitching today at Ballpark of Milwaukee HS and mauled them for 5 hits in 8 at-bats. His efforts were all in vain, though, as the Liberty ruined his great day by toppling the Blue Huskies, 10-9.

"I had a great day, but you've got to give Kenner HS credit, they did what they had to do to win," he told reporters after the game. "They weren't very impressed with my 5 hits."

"Oh, we noticed what Johnson did today," Liberty skipper said. "He had quite a game. I can tell you this, we will pitch him a little differently the next time we face him."

Amir Johnson grounded out in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, hit a three-run home run off Danny Torres in the 4th, flied out in the 6th, singled in the 8th, singled in the 9th, singled in the 12th, walked in the 13th and flied out in the 14th.
