25-Game Hitting Streak for Bergstrom Friday, May 15th, 1970 Jonathan Bergstrom extended his consecutive-game hitting streak to 25 games today in the North Charleston HS 6-4 triumph over the Tuckahoe HS Thunder Bats. The 17-year-old Fighting Falcons third baseman collected 2 hits in 4 at-bats. "Of course it's going to end," he said. "I'm just enjoying it until then." Jonathan Bergstrom grounded out in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Keith Albright in the 6th and hit a two-run home run off Jacoby Untiedt in the 7th. For the season Bergstrom is hitting .435, batted in 38 runs with 5 home runs and 27 runs scored. |
