O'Dell Sensational, 5-for-6 Friday, May 15th, 1970 Tyler O'Dell exploded for a barrage of base hits today at Troglodytes Ballpark. The Concord HS third baseman had a field day against the Murfreesboro HS Hillcats, finishing with a 5-for-6 day, even as his club took the loss, 9-6. "It's a shame that we lost the game," he said later. "It's really hard to enjoy what I did today. You would think 5 hits would do it." Tyler O'Dell struck out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and singled in the 9th. In the 1970 season O'Dell is hitting .364 with no home runs.
