Hunt's Hit Streak Reaches 20 Games Friday, May 15th, 1970 The Miami Beach HS Bishops stopped the Suffolk HS Barbers today 12-4 and Josh Hunt collected a base hit yet again. The Miami Beach HS right fielder finished with 1 hit to run his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20. "I want to get a hit every time up," a visibly excited Hunt told reporters after the contest. "I want to get a hit every game I play. Right now, I feel like I could take this streak to 100 games." Josh Hunt grounded out in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, walked in the 4th, flied out in the 5th, walked in the 7th and flied out in the 8th. For the year Hunt is hitting .358 with 3 home runs. His stats include 40 runs batted in and 31 runs scored. |
