Big Bat Pays Off, Castillo Player of the Week Monday, April 13th, 1970 It was some kind of week for Doug Castillo of the Lafayette HS Dynamo. First he hits the heck out of the ball, ripping it at a .581 clip and the next thing you know, he is voted the Player of the Week in the Conference 1. Last week Castillo went 18-for-31, chalked up 2 home runs and 10 RBIs and scored 8 runs. Not a bad week's work at all. |
