5-Hit Blitz by Edinger Thursday, April 16th, 1970 No matter what the Miami Gardens HS Voyagers threw at him today, Jim Edinger hit it. He easily handled Voyagers pitching, going 5 for 6 and helping the Surge to a 15-4 triumph at Ballpark of St. Louis HS. "The way I was swinging today, I think I could have closed my eyes and hit the ball," he told BNN reporters in the postgame interview. Told of Edinger's quip, Voyagers skipper said he "would take him up on that next time." Jim Edinger singled in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 3rd, grounded out in the 4th, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and singled in the 9th.
