5-for-6 Day for Flanagan Thursday, April 16th, 1970 It wasn't just another day at the ballpark for Jim Flanagan today. Flanagan went on a tear and cracked hit after hit off Louisville HS pitchers. When the dust settled on the diamond at Ballpark of Stockton HS, he had a 5-for-6 line and a day he will long remember. And the Chapel Hill HS Swamp Bats had a 10-7 victory over the Vipers. "Yeah, it'll be something nice to tell the grandkids, but it won't get me a hit tomorrow," he joked in the postgame interview. Jim Flanagan doubled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, flied out in the 4th, hit a two-run double in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
