Tucker Keeps Hit Streak Alive
Friday, April 24th, 1970
Danny Tucker has been on a tear for several weeks, and his hitting streak just keeps getting longer. The 16-year-old Portsmouth HS Gryphons second baseman extended his streak today to 20 games, going 2-for-5 as Portsmouth HS got the best of the Deltona HS Yard Dawgs at Horned Frogs Ballpark, 5-4.

"Danny has been playing real well lately and we're proud of him," Gryphons manager said.
Danny Tucker flied out in the 1st, grounded out in the 2nd, hit an RBI double in the 4th, flied out in the 7th and doubled in the 8th.

For the season Tucker has produced 39 hits in 92 at-bats for a .424 average with 2 home runs and gotten on base at a .514 clip.
