Challenger Stop Anderson at 20
Saturday, April 25th, 1970
Justin Anderson saw his 20-game hitting streak wither and die today during the Ft. Myers HS Flight win over Country Club HS at Ballpark of Oakland HS. The 19-year-old second baseman was held hitless in 4 at-bats by the Country Club HS Challenger, but his teammates produced enough offense to take the game, 6-0.

"Am I disappointed about the hit streak? Maybe, just a little bit," a seemingly upbeat Anderson told reporters in the clubhouse. "But really, how could you be unhappy after you hit in 20 straight games? I'm just glad it lasted as long as it did. Life is good."

Thus far this season Anderson has hit .414 with 2 home runs, 25 RBIs and scored 24 times.
