Hit Parade: Bush Pops 5 Hits
Monday, April 27th, 1970
Some moments become linked with a particular player's career forever. Norm Bush of the Renton HS Condors had one of those moments when he went 5-for-5 at the plate today in the 13-12 win over the Camarillo HS Thunderbirds at Thunderbirds Ballpark.
"I won't forget this anytime soon, and I don't expect it to happen too often," the 17-year-old right fielder told reporters in the postgame interview. "I'll be happy to just get a hit or two every day. Enough to hang around the league a while longer. Like 10, maybe 15 more years."
Norm Bush singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, doubled in the 6th, walked in the 8th and singled in the 9th.
This season Bush is hitting at a .404 pace with 4 home runs, 16 RBIs and has scored 29 times.
