Great Stroke: Waters Gets 5 Hits Monday, April 27th, 1970 The Fullerton HS Neptune might think twice next time about pitching to Mike Waters. At Neptune Ballpark today, the Visalia HS Rays catcher burned Fullerton HS pitching, going 5-for-6 in a 14-6 Visalia HS triumph. "When he's on his game," Visalia HS skipper told reporters, "he can probably stroke a base hit blindfolded." Mike Waters singled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, grounded out in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and singled in the 9th. In the current season, Waters has put up a .384 batting average with 28 hits, 2 home runs, 21 runs batted in and scored 13 runs. View Boxscore |
