Sanchez Bashes 6 Base Hits Friday, May 8th, 1970 The Monterey Park HS Gaucho Locos tripped up the Alameda HS Devil Bears 10-8 today. The Gaucho Locos were led by Jon Sanchez, their 18-year-old right fielder. Sanchez made life miserable for Alameda HS pitchers all day, tagging them for 6 hits in 7 at-bats. Jon Sanchez hit a two-run home run off Bryan Hilty in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, struck out in the 8th, singled in the 9th and hit a two-run single in the 11th. So far this season Sanchez is hitting .444 with 4 home runs, 30 RBIs and 39 runs scored. He has 55 hits in 124 at-bats and a .585 OBP. View Boxscore |
