Santa Clara HS Loses Bob Stewart, Will Miss Season
Saturday, May 9th, 1970
The season is ending on a bad note for Bob Stewart, reliever for the Santa Clara HS War Eagles. It was announced today that he will miss the rest of the season because of injury. Stewart was hurt against the Rosemead HS Pugs while throwing a pitch. He suffered a torn rotator cuff and will be out for at least 5 months.

For the season Stewart has made 18 relief appearances, recorded no saves and compiled a 3-2 won-lost mark and a 6.94 ERA. In pitching 36.1 innings, he has totaled 24 strikeouts and 34 walks.
