Hit Streak Now at 20 for Frye Sunday, May 10th, 1970 Jake Frye has been on a tear for several weeks, and his hitting streak just keeps getting longer. The 15-year-old Fairfield HS Peacocks second baseman extended his streak today to 20 games, going 3-for-6 as Fairfield HS got the best of the Renton HS Condors at Condors Ballpark, 16-10. "Jake has been playing real well lately and we're proud of him," Peacocks manager said. Jake Frye struck out in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, doubled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, grounded out in the 6th, flied out in the 7th and walked in the 9th. Posting a .361 batting average to date, Frye has 4 home runs and 20 RBIs. |
