SL2 Names Best Player Monday, May 11th, 1970 It was announced today by the Conference 2 that Indio HS center fielder Sean Mendoza had received the Player of the Week Trophy for his superlative play last week. The Indio HS center fielder wreaked havoc on opposing pitchers, pounding them for a .516 average (16-for-31) with 2 home runs and 12 RBIs on his way to claiming the honor. This year Mendoza is hitting .422 with 11 home runs and 52 RBIs in 35 games played. He also boasts an OBP of .500 with 21 walks and 41 runs scored. |
