Jenkins Keeps Hit Streak Alive Tuesday, May 12th, 1970 Tim Jenkins collected 2 hits in today's game and extended his hitting streak to 20 games. His club, the Napa HS Blasters, beat the Fountain Valley HS Isotopes 17-14. "Right now, when they throw me the ball, it looks the size of a softball," Jenkins quipped to a BNN reporter after the game. "I'm excited about how things are clicking." Tim Jenkins flied out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, grounded out in the 4th, walked in the 6th, walked in the 7th, tripled in the 9th, walked in the 10th and walked in the 12th.
