Payne Slams 5 Hits for Tustin HS Thursday, May 14th, 1970 Sean Payne was at the head of a Tustin HS hit parade today at Sunchasers Ballpark. The right fielder went to the plate 6 times and came away with 5 hits, sparking the Sunchasers to a 16-11 victory over the Buena Park HS Seagulls. "I told the guys in the dugout, just be thinking about hitting the ball hard somewhere," the sweet-swinging Payne told reporters after the game. "Seems like it worked out well for us today." Seagulls skipper said later that the club gave up "too much plate." "Not the way we planned it," he said. "Every hitter in the league will rip you when you do that." Sean Payne hit an RBI double in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, struck out in the 4th, doubled in the 7th and singled in the 8th.
