Edwards Gets 5 Hits Friday, May 15th, 1970 Randy Edwards was unstoppable, but the South Gate HS Rock Fish were not. Despite his hitting heroics at Rock Fish Ballpark today, the Rock Fish lost 12-9 to the Santa Clara HS War Eagles. Edwards battered Santa Clara HS for 5 hits in 6 at-bats. His only consolation will be a boost in his batting average and a brief mention in the record book. Edwards just shook his head after the game, telling BNN reporters, "It's the team with the most runs that wins, not the most hits." Randy Edwards singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 5th, grounded out in the 7th, doubled in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 9th.
