Eckloff Chosen 1970 SL1 Most Valuable Player Award

The Conference 1 has made it official -- Jamie Eckloff is the winner of the Most Valuable Player Award.

In the 1970 season, the Renton HS center fielder stood out with a .503 batting average, 16 doubles, 1 triple, 11 home runs and 55 RBIs. Eckloff also had 36 walks, posted a .595 on-base percentage and scored 63 times.

Ryan Thill of the San Leandro HS Padres finished second in voting, while Chris Jensen of the Costa Mesa HS Devils finished third.
