Today Alameda HS's Jacob Swan was named the Conference 2 Most Valuable Player Award winner for 1970. He pounded SL2 hurlers hard all season long, collecting 68 hits in 163 at-bats.

With a .417 batting average, 15 doubles, 1 triple, 14 home runs, 70 RBIs and 50 runs scored, he was the top vote-getter.

Sean Mendoza of the Indio HS Cabers finished second in voting, while Juan Tafoya of the Temecula HS Greyhounds finished third.
