Mendoza Belts Bunch of Base Hits Friday, April 3rd, 1970 Indio HS center fielder Sean Mendoza put on quite a show at Cabers Ballpark with a big 6-hit day in the 23-8 victory over the Spokane HS Jammers. "Not a bad day at the plate, 6-for-7," he said in the postgame interview. "Wish I could do this more often. It would do wonders for my batting average, and my salary, too." Sean Mendoza singled in the 1st, hit a three-run home run off Justin Esposito in the 2nd, hit an RBI double in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit a two-run double in the 6th, grounded out in the 6th and singled in the 8th.
