Big Day with Bat: Geiger 5-for-5 Saturday, April 4th, 1970 No matter what the Victorville HS Jacks threw at him today, Dennis Geiger hit it. He easily handled Jacks pitching, going 5 for 5 and helping the Thunderbirds to a 23-12 triumph at Thunderbirds Ballpark. "The way I was swinging today, I think I could have closed my eyes and hit the ball," he told BNN reporters in the postgame interview. Told of Geiger's quip, Jacks skipper said he "would take him up on that next time." Dennis Geiger was hit by a pitch in the 1st, walked in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, singled in the 7th and hit a two-run double in the 8th.
