Hess Slaps 6 Hits Saturday, April 4th, 1970 Dave Hess of the Canucks was unstoppable in today's 21-15 victory over the Union City HS Fire Fighters at Canucks Stadium. He battered them for 6 hits in 7 at-bats. "Boy, I was on the mark today," said the Redding HS first baseman after the game. "I could see the ball real well. It's a great feeling to do this. And besides, 6-for-7 won't hurt your batting average like 0-for-5 will."
