Irwin Week's Best Player Monday, April 20th, 1970 This week Billy Irwin, first baseman for the South Whittier HS Wild Riders, hit his way to the Conference 2 Player of the Week Award. Irwin put on a hitting clinic with a .600 average as he belted and battered SL2 pitchers for 12 hits in 20 at-bats, 2 home runs, 8 RBIs and scored 10 runs. Thus far this year Irwin has hit .362 with 3 home runs and 12 RBIs. |
