Fitzgerald Day-to-Day with Injury Saturday, April 25th, 1970 Chris Fitzgerald of the Santa Clara HS War Eagles is probably going to miss a day or two as a result of a torn meniscus that seems to be healing slowly. "I feel okay. Not one hundred percent, but I can go if the team needs me," the Santa Clara HS star performer said. The team physician has said Fitzgerald's time off will be about 4 months or until he can play without pain, but a trip to the disabled list is not likely. Fitzgerald on the season is batting .297 with 1 home run. His totals include 6 RBIs and 12 runs scored. He has played in 13 games. |
